Inna Volyanskaya, 59, was aboard the American Airlines flight that collided with a military helicopter on Wednesday (29) in Washington. The former Disney On Ice skater lost her life in the tragedy along with skaters, coaches, and family members.

Volyanskaya was known for portraying princesses such as Aurora, Cinderella, Belle, and Ariel in Disney On Ice. She competed as a pairs skater for the Soviet Union in the 1980s.

Inna Volyanskaya’s ex-husband, Ross Lansel, commented on the loss of the skating star. “Just knowing the impact she had on so many skaters and everyone around her, that breaks my soul,” he lamented.

“I hope that all the children she trained receive my condolences and prayers. I hope they have a wonderful life, because I know it will be very difficult without her,” said Lansel.

President Donald Trump confirmed in a press conference at the White House on Thursday (30) that none of the 64 people aboard survived.
